Case Study
Description:
flower vase
Materials:
glossy ceramic
Colours:
white, black
I like it cause the vase is designed in a way that when you put flowers into the vase,it will looked arranged.I guess you'll have to research on how flowers are arranged before you can design this vase.It feels very classy, modern too. :)
K-Series Lamps by Shiro Kuramata
Their shades convey an airy impression, like coverings of soft, white cloth.
The soft light flowing throughout the shade casts a relaxing spell.
The shades are hand-made, piece by piece, giving rise to natural form, and giving each space an individual character. The electronic device used will most probably be any light bulb, not too much complications.
I like it as the lamp is very unique. The first look I thought when I saw it was a piece of cloth. It's really cool and I don't get to see these kind of designs everywhere.
Monroe Chair by Arata Isozaki
I've decided to use Japanese designers for all 3 products. :) Im sure Japanese deisgns can inspire me somehow.Or rather, inspire me their style.Thats all for now. :D

Assignment #3
Its been sometime since I really use the com.Alright now,I'm doing this for the sake of myself!
Assignment #3Have a HEART, design for an organization or a society!
Select and do a CASE STUDY of any non-profitable organization/society that you would love to help out. Find out what they do and why you would love to help them out!
The case study should include these details:
Name of the selected organization/society
What do they represent?
What are their activities?
Your involvement with them. (Past, present or plan to be involved)
Immediate NEEDs that you can think of in the organization/society.
The wethepeoplehelp.
A newly opened organisation.Represents to help the disadvantaged people improve their lives spiritually, socially, and physically.
They had Fundraising Programs and Community Development Programs.
The organisation are networking and organising American churches in the area to make exchanges in Africa for economic, social, and spiritual purposes. They offer fundraisers, and we market items at fundraisers. The proceeds from the fundraisers are directed by the church to Africa, and each individual church has a say as to where the money is spent.
They are also looking for businesses that are interested in participating in our friend raisers. This is very personal and you get involved in peoples lives rather than just looking at budgeting only. For example in the Africa project, you would be raising money for tribes in Africa, and would be adopted into their tribe and become their friend. This helps them attain clean water, jobs, and sewer systems.
I've always wanted to do something like that. ( even before I saw the Geography slides ) The people in Africa is so poor! They're not as lucky as us. So sad I'm not old enough or rich.Or I'll just fly there and do volunteer work.
